Jean Von Borstel
Jean von Borstel is a visual artist who graduated in Graphic Design from Universidad Iberoamericana Puebla. She continued her education in the Visual Arts Program at the Autonomous University of Baja California and studied Painting and Drawing at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn. Her work, deeply rooted in magical symbolism, reflects the connection between human emotions and the landscapes of the Baja California desert. She has coordinated projects like the VII International Banner Biennial at CECUT and has had solo exhibitions such as Diálogos Revolución in Tijuana. Additionally, she has participated in group exhibitions at the Tijuana Cultural Center and the Latin American Art Fair in San Diego. She currently lives and works between San Diego, CA, and Tijuana, B.C., exploring femininity through her acrylics and gouaches.
