Andres Monnier
Andrés Monnier is a Mexican artist born in Guadalajara and based in Ensenada, Mexico. He studied medicine, psychology, and industrial engineering, which brings a multidisciplinary perspective to his artistic approach. In 2021, he fully committed to sculpture after cofounding a furniture company and pursuing various design and business projects. His work merges art, design, and sculpture, exploring materialized consciousness. Monnier primarily uses stones from across Mexico, reflecting his connection to nature and his homeland. His work has been exhibited internationally through Monnier Studio, producing sculptures, installations, and functional art. He has collaborated with brands and institutions like Christian Dior, Elle, ZsONA MACO, Bottega Veneta, Revuelta Galería, Galería L-86, Banyan Tree, and Design Week Mexico. His art transcends anthropocentric views, creating contemplative pieces that foster introspection and emotional connection.
